I just started using P2 at http://playlist.umwblogs.org today as a way to encourage a sort of quickfire dialogue on music & free-form sharing of resources, so it’s great to read this & get the sense that that’s what the theme is indeed actually meant for. I love the idea of a conversation building on itself in spurts & with a speed normally unprecedented on the web. It’s almost as if people were speaking in the flesh…perhaps it’s the next best thing.

I’ve been running through your instructions and made a few additional changes.

Basically, I made a copy of index.php rather than page.php and used that as my template for the front page. I added your query_posts line and edited the ‘require’ to point to a customised copy of entry.php which I called blog_entry.php

I removed the post edit box from blog_entry.php, the avatar and hacked it until it looked OK.
